Cookie Policy
The cookies matgen.ai, Lamp and Spark set, what each one does, and how long it lasts.
In plain words
- Our sites set three cookies. One keeps you signed in to Lamp. The other two remember that you closed the cookie notice.
- No analytics, no advertising, no third-party cookies.
- These cookies are strictly necessary, so the law does not require your consent. We list them so you know what they do.
- The list below is complete. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.
This summary helps you find your way. The numbered sections below are the full text.
What a cookie is#
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. The site reads it back when you return, for example to know that you are still signed in.
The cookies we set#
All three are first-party cookies: our own sites set them, not other companies.
| Name | Site | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
lamp_session | Lamp | Keeps you signed in. Marked HttpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read it. | 24 hours |
lamp_cookie_notice | Lamp | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice | 12 months |
mg_cookie_notice | matgen.ai, Spark | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice | 12 months |
The company that delivers our sites sets no cookies of its own on them.
Why we do not ask for consent#
The law requires consent before a site stores or reads information in your browser, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive).
lamp_sessionis needed to keep you signed in after you log in to Lamp.- The two notice cookies only store that you closed the notice about cookies.
Both kinds fall under this exception, so we inform you about them but do not ask for consent.
What we do not use#
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party cookies. If we ever want to use a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first, you will be able to refuse as easily as accept, and we will update this policy.
How to manage cookies#
This page lists every cookie our sites set.
You can also delete cookies, or block them, in your browser settings. If you delete lamp_session, you are signed out of Lamp. If you block it, you cannot sign in. If you delete a notice cookie, the notice appears again.
Changes and contact#
We update this policy when the cookies on our sites change. The date and version at the top of this page show which version you are reading.
For questions about cookies, write to our e-mail address. How we handle personal data in general is explained in the Privacy Policy.
