What a report costs

A report costs credits. How many depends on the AI model you choose and on how many patents you select for the report. The table shows the estimate for each model.

Patents in a report: You select a report's patents from those in your research session, up to 1,000 per report. A patent counts against your plan's monthly patents once, when you add it to a session. A report on patents you already have costs credits only.
What you pay for a report: While a report runs, Lamp holds its estimate. When it ends, Lamp charges the credits for the text the model actually read and wrote. That can be less or more than the estimate. If a report uses more than one and a half times its estimate, Lamp pauses it: you continue it or stop it, and pay only for what it used.
Monthly credits: Pro and Max are subscriptions, paid monthly or yearly. On both, every 30 days, counted from your first payment, your monthly credits are reset: to 700 on Pro, to 1,400 on Max. Monthly credits you did not use are not added to the next month.
Extra credits: Credits you buy never expire. Lamp uses them only after your monthly credits run out.
When credits run out: Chat and reports stop until you buy extra credits or your monthly credits refill. You can still open and read everything you made before.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your account becomes read-only. Choose Pro or Max to keep working. Nothing is charged, because the trial does not ask for a credit card.

What if I run out of credits?

Chat and reports stop. Buy extra credits in Lamp, or wait for your monthly credits to refill. You can still open and read everything you made before.

Why does a report on more patents cost more?

The AI reads more text and writes more. Lamp estimates the cost from the number of patents you select and the model you use, then charges what the report actually used.

Why does the model change the price?

Each model has its own price for the text it reads and writes, set from what its provider charges. The table under How credits work shows what one report costs on each model.

Who sends the invoice?

PayPro Global. It sells Lamp for us, takes the payment and sends the invoice. Prices on this page exclude VAT.

Can a Lamp report replace a patent attorney?

No. Lamp is a research tool: it helps you find, read and compare patents, and it writes its findings down with the passages they rest on. Its reports are not patent or legal advice. For a decision about filing, opposing or infringement, ask a qualified patent attorney.

Lamp checks every quoted passage against the patent text and marks any quote it cannot find, so you can verify each finding yourself.
